AWE EU 2023 will take place in Vienna on 24 and 25 October. After AWE USA 2023 and AWE ASIA 2023, now it’s Europe‘s turn.
I have been following AWE since 2019 in its two main events in the USA and Europe, parteciping in person every time, and I am very curious to see who will be in the playground and who will take the stage this year.
How will Ori Inbar open the event? Will we address the hot topics of Artificial Intelligence? Which companies will win the Auggie Awards?
We’ll find out in three days. But in the meantime I want to present to you an interview that we recorded in June 2023 in Silicon Valley, with one of the fundamental people for the organization of AWE events: Andrea Lowery.
Andrea kindly agreed to do this interview and I thank her very much. I believe that the entire team that organizes major events like AWE often remains behind the scenes and does not have the visibility it deserves.

Andrea Lowery has over 30 years of experience in event production and management (including hotel management), managing exhibitions and trade shows since 1996. Currently, she is the Head of Operations for AWE XR, LLC manufacturers of AWE USA, AWE EU, AWE Asia, awe. live, AWE Academy and much more!
Previously, she was VP, Operations/Owner of Prospera Events, LLC, producers of InnoTech events, The Technology & Innovation Conference and ShareCloud Summit (formerly SharePoint TechFest).
She has also been Managed Operations Teams for the annual AWE (Augmented World Expo) events in Santa Clara, CA since its inception in 2009 and AWE EU held Munich, Germany 2017-2019, Lisbon, Portugal in 2022 and in just a few hours Vienna , Austria in 2023. Andrea says that “Taming chaos can be fun”.
Among her qualities, in addition to being an always smiling and very kind person (those who know her can confirm this), she is an excellent negotiator of contracts and relationships with suppliers. Has strong management skills, event production (security, food and beverage, decoration, design and registration management), sponsor/exhibitor management, event marketing and financial budget management, team leadership and motivation and all operational aspects to produce successful events.
