AWE USA 2022, which took place in June, was a great success. Next up is AWE ASIA on August 26 and 27 in Shanghai, China. At the same time, AWE staff is on the move to prepare for the return of AWE EU to be held October 20-21, 2022 in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal.
On 20 and 21 October I will be in Lisbon in Portugal and I will participate in AWE EU!!!
My project “Flying Into The Metaverse Through Books & Culture” will fly with me. Won’t you join me in Lisbon too?! This is the first time since 2019 that the XR community will re-convene at AWE EU 2022. I can’t wait to see you!
Because in recent years the XR industry has offered us wonderful opportunities at low cost and low environmental impact by providing us with creative solutions to connect while we were quarantined at home during the pandemic… but now it’s time for hugs, handshakes and meeting IRL!
A few years ago, I knew very few people from my LinkedIN network personally, and I feel compelled to meet all those who support me and support my projects today.
Some of you took the plane and came to Florence to meet me (thank you!)… but if you haven’t made it yet to Italy don’t worry, because I’m coming to see YOU in Lisbon!
I really feel the need to connect your face with your name, have a chat with each other and laugh and learn more about the interesting projects that you are doing.While being behind a screen has some advantages, a photo, avatar or video will never be the same as meeting live…
One of the things amazed me most of all when I met new friends at AWE USA for the first time in person? The height.
You can’t really perceive that, not even if you turn yourself into an avatar…
Online you cannot smell, and you cannot perceive the subtle vibration and energy that isunleashed when people are together… but you can invent and imagine!
That’s why I, who am creative, need to go out and meet you all, because I need to see you in 6 Degrees of Freedom.
The last AWE EU event in Europe was in Munich in 2019 (those who were present will remember the beautiful space and the absolutely European and innovative feel of the event).
As always, AWE is full of news and we can anticipate that from Italy there will be companies that will show how much progress in the XR sector is proceeding at great speed.
